Villa was excellent in every way - inside and outside -rooms were very clean and spacious - outdoor area was ideal with plenty room for all our family of 6 adults and 5 children - we particularly liked the large terrace leading from the main bedroom - the cinema room and games room were enjoyed by all - the villa’s position is quiet and private - Jo was a very pleasant and attentive host -we all had a fantastic holiday and would certainly return to Alfarobba !
Everything you could ever want

We arrived quite late at night, weary, very tired kids in toe, to a lovely warm greeting and show around the villa. Initial impressions was how clean it was, welcoming and beautiful. It was only the next morning we got to really appreciate it's facilities, beautiful private pool area, absolutely perfect for kids, spacious dining area, a kitchen which is so well stocked with anything you could need or want, and exceptional rooms, all ensuite and the bathrooms and showers especially were perfect. You can view both the sea and country side from either of the 2 balconies, and the views are stunning. During our stay, our host and staff could not do enough for us, exceptionally helpful and the most excellent customer service. The pictures of the Villa really do not do it justice, it is so much more beautiful in real life. Everything you could think you might need in a Villa is there. The children loved the cinema and entertainment room downstairs, and the villa itself is so secure. The top item we would like to emphasize is the folder Jo provides which is incredibly detailed, and I'm delighted to say every place or piece of food that was recommended we tried and my god the advice was spot on. This folder quickly became our Bible whilst we were there, if followed you will eat only the best food whilst there, and see the best attractions. We spent 2 lovely weeks in Villa Alforroba and we were so sad to leave. We have been going to the Algarve yealry with our kids for the last 8 years and this Villa and location is the best we have ever experienced. We will be back. A stunning villa and wonderful host. Everything you need has been provided. With 2 bedrooms downstairs and ramps as well as steps it was so easy for my elderly mum to move around the villa and gardens. Quiet location just off the main road. Close to our favourite beaches. . We can’t wait to go back and stay again.
Fantastic property

The villa is as pictured, only better in every way. The house is spacious and well designed; there were only two of us, but the four bedrooms (each with ensuite) would be perfect for several couples or a family with children. The kitchen is large and extraordinarily well equipped -- two dishwashers, two ovens,, microwave and all the cooking equipment one could wish for. The property is beautifully landscaped and very private, and the pool one of the best we have had in any vrbo. As we were carrying work with us, reliable wifi was important, and it is not only reliable but fast. The owner, Jo, is a delight and helpful in every way, including excellent communications before and during our three week stay. All in all, one of the best, more professional of our many vrbo stays over the years. Five + stars in every category.

We were delighted with Villa Alfarroba. It is superb, everything you need and more. We loved its location, quiet, peaceful but not isolated and set in a lovely well maintained garden. Everything was of the highest standard, comfortable and warm accommodation and an exceptionally well equipped kitchen. Jo was the perfect host, professional and always available if needed.
Luxurious Villa in Excellent Location

Villa Alfarroba is a spacious and very well equipped villa with an attractive garden. It is ideally placed for visiting the Eastern Algarve and enjoying this relatively unspoilt part of Portugal. There are some excellent restaurants nearby, our favourite (out of season at least) is the Fabrica Do Costa, which is in tiny village about 4 minutes drive directly South of the villa. Jo, the villa owner is very helpful and respond immediately to any queries or requests. Highly recommended.
Best Ever !

Just back from a fantastic two week stay at Villa Alfarobba, and what a two weeks ! We were a party of 6 adults (aged 35 ~ 71), and four grandchildren (aged 2 ~ 6). Like many of the previous reviews before, the web site does not do this villa justice, and I doubt you will find a better equipped villa on the Algarve ! Everyone loved the heated pool, to the point were we had a job to get the children to come out. For the adults a lot of the evenings consisted of BBQ, and then sitting in the pool with either a cool draught beer or wine, mulling over the day. There were so many great things about the villa, probably too many to mention but here goes : a kitchen that bordered on being “professional” with every conceivable piece of kit ( the two dishwashers were a god send), definitely the heated pool, the outside kitchen, air-con throughout, sound bars everywhere (including the outside kitchen), the cinema room downstairs ( especially for the kids), and of course having beer and wine on tap ! Yes, you could say it was a little quiet, but that is what we wanted and why we chose the Eastern Algarve. Sitting on the terrace with a cool drink, and not a sound to be heard . . . great ! Now to mention our host Jo, who only lived next door. From first making contact with her to saying a fond farewell, she was exemplary ! Nothing was too much trouble, and it was nice to have somebody on hand with so much local knowledge and advice. Woe that every villa came with a Jo. ! So to sum up, Pros : Everything, Cons : Leaving ! All that I can say from our experience was the time went all too quickly, but the memories will last a lifetime ! Many, many thanks Jo. p.s. I forgot to mention if you have pushchairs or wheelchairs, no problem there are ramps everywhere and wide doors, just another thoughtful detail. 7/19/2022 at 5:30 AM

Une villa vraiment très bien équipée et à la hauteur des photos diffusées sur le site. Proximité à moins de 10 mns en voitures de plusieurs plages avec lieux de stationnement simple. Une belle expérience à recommander pour les vacanciers en familles mais aussi entre amis. (A really well-equipped villa that lives up to the photos posted on the site. Proximity less than 10 minutes by car from several beaches with simple parking places. A great experience to recommend for vacationers with families but also with friends.)
Amazing Villla and hosts

We have just returned from a stay with our 2 children aged 12 and 14 over the October half term The villa is exactly as you see on the photos - scrupulously clean, spacious, well equipped and modern. Jo and Paul were amazing hosts from start to finish. We made use of the heated pool everyday and in between times the kids were able to choose between watching a film in the home cinema, or on the huge TV in the lounge, making use of the wifi or playing table tennis in the basement games room. The weather was amazing and we found lots of family run restaurants and cafes to enjoy in the local area. The Eastern Algarve region took us both by surprise with its beauty and charm and we enjoyed exploring it. This is the sort of villa that I can imagine returning to again and again.

We have stayed in many villas before but this is by far the best equipped we have ever stayed in. The kitchen has everything you could ask for and stuff you didn’t event know you needed! The bedrooms are huge with huge en-suite shower rooms. Each room has a terrace or balcony with the master bedroom having a full panoramic view over the fields. The villa I situated in a quiet road and is surrounded by well kept gardens making in private. The downstairs is open plan with a large dining and living space with a huge tv and a Ninetendo Wii. The surprise was the cinema room in the basement. A substantial collection of DVD’s and a projector with fully surround, complimented with 3 sofas, blankets and cushions! If that was not enough there is a table tennis table and a poker table as well as a substantial washing machine. The pool area is large with a decent outside dining table. There is two outside taps for beer and wine which are run through a chiller. Just ask Jo for a keg or box of wine, it’s good value. The BBQ area is one of the best equipped I’ve ever had the pleasure of using in a villa. Finally the pool is lovely and deep at the deep end, with plenty of sun loungers. The villa is finished to a very high standard and is like home. I can not recommend this villa enough, outstanding! Finally Jo and Paul have been great hosts advising us where to eat, organising trips, providing a number of a great taxi service whilst ensuring we were enjoying our stay without intruding.
An outstanding villa

This is a lovely villa situated in a quiet country road a few miles from Tavira. A car is essential as the nearest beach and restaurants are a couple of miles away. The villa has been well designed with four good sized bedrooms all with en-suite facilities. Three of the bedrooms have walk in showers. The outside and ground floor have step free access. The pool is a good size and was heated during our stay which was great. There is also a pool house with shower and various pool items; lilo floats etc. There are more than sufficient poolside reclining loungers. There is a large outside charcoal barbecue. Inside the villa is exceptionally well appointed and has everything you could wish to make your stay enjoyable. If has more than sufficient crockery and cutlery to fill the two dishwashers. There are bowls saucepans numerous domed covers for use to protect food when outside etc. You name it it’s there. There was bean to cup coffee machine which had broken down. Paul and Jo got a spare part and fixed this during our stay. We tried hard but could not think of anything missing. They are numerous sitting areas inside and out. There is a cinema room downstairs with projector and many many dvd’s. The 65 inch tv in the lounge was more than adequate for us. There are also Bluetooth speakers in most rooms and outside. We have never come across another rental villa as well equipped as this. Jo and Paul provided an excellent meal one evening setting the table etc. The lasagne and lemon cheesecake were outstanding. Jo and Paul live nearby and as a result are much more responsive to occupants needs than a management company. Overall we could not find fault in any in the villa and it is highly recommended. So next time you go to Portugal try turning right out of Faro and go East. This side of the Algarve is much quieter with long sandy beaches.

Impressive villa - a perfect holiday haven

We’ve returned relaxed and revitalised after a gorgeous week long holiday here. Villa Alfarroba is a stylish abode with impressive attention to detail. Perks such as wall mounted Bluetooth speakers enable you to create a great atmosphere around the gorgeous heated pool. It’s a perfect retreat which comfortably catered for our two families (5 adults, 4 children and a baby). The wine and beer on tap is a great addition to any holiday. As a mum I was most impressed to see a baby bouncer, toys, a changing mat and a beautiful cot set up for our 6 month old son. The high chair was duly brought round as soon as we requested it. Nothing seemed too much trouble for Jo and Paul - fantastic, welcoming and thoughtful hosts. Oh and if you can, sample the homemade cheesecake, it’s impressive. The setting is idyllic and remote. You do need a car to get around. Tavira and Praia da Manta Rota are both worth a visit. Whenever the sun got a little too much or the children simply needed some chill out time, the cinema room downstairs was a perfect sanctuary. We were impressed by so many aspects of this villa. It’s highly recommended. Our friends, that we travelled with, have returned year after year - and it’s easy to see why.

Amazing experience from first enquiry to the end of the holiday. Jo went above and beyond from the beginning. We arrived for a surprise birthday treat to balloons, decorations, fizz and amazing three course dinner and birthday cake ! Shopping in the fridge and wine and beer on tap ! Jo worked tirelessly to make it all so memorable. All 8 guest were amazed. The villa is superb and the most well equipped I have encountered with every detail thought of. We had a rocky start to our holiday after our initial flight was cancelled at the last minute but jo couldn’t of been more helpful and flexible. Once we arrived at this amazing villa all our stresses melted away, it is a beautiful villa in a quiet setting with everything you could need for a perfect holiday. We had 2 ladies with physical and learning disabilities and the villa was exceptionally laid out and well equipped for all their needs. We shall certainly be back, and look forward to many more wonderful breaks here
Excellent Villa

Just spent a week here. We are 4 golfers in our 14th year staying and playing golf in Europe. Villa Alfarobba was an excellent property to base ourselves in. Well furnished and superbly appointed. We chose to have beer & wine on tap which was really convenient. The heated pool was also excellent as previously we’ve found the water in Portugal to be a bit chilly at this time of year. There are 4 great courses on your doorstep and more nearby. In summary we would definitely stay here again if we were back in the area. This is the 3rd or 4th time we have stayed here as it is such a beautiful property. We visit the Algarve twice a year and this is one of the nicer villas to stay in and try and book it if we can get the availability! Quite rural surrounds so a car is needed but so close to beaches, shops, play parks for the kids etc. Paul and Jo are always on hand next door if there are any problems (which there rarely are!). Our second trip back to this wonderful villa and find it as we did the first time, just brilliant. Our family had increased by one this year with the addition of our grandson and nothing was too much trouble for Jo. Spotlessly clean modern villa fully equipped for any need you may have Great meal service from Jo if you fancy a lovely meal presented beautifully at the villa. Children well catered for high chairs cots toys etc Difficult to drag yourself away as the villa really does have everything and the kitchen is so well equipped and the great bbq but Tavira lovely to visit and eat out if you want to go out! Very happy with our choice. 4 very large bedrooms all with ensuite - the beds come apart so can be twin or double. Separate toilet on the ground floor of the villa together with changing room/toilet by the pool. The kitchen had two ovens and two dishwashers and there are two large washing machines in the basement. The cinema room had a great selection of DVDs and books. We ate outside mostly - there is a separate sink/beer tap and BBQ just outside the kitchen so easy to pass food and drink through the kitchen window. Air con throughout the villa. The gardens are well maintained and offer a lot of privacy. We did not choose to have the pool heated as the weather was still very good. Easy to locate and within walking distance of the beach.

What a brilliant holiday it was staying in Villa Alfarroba. From start to finish Paul & Jo were very helpful and on hand for any information required. The villa had everything you can imagine and was just as described + more. Due to visiting in October we opted for the pool heating which was brilliant and meant the kids were in the pool everyday and night. Travelling with a baby is never light weight however the Villa had everything, highchair, cot, toys and also has baby monitors so you can sit outside in the evening whilst drinking and eating with no worry of hearing the little ones. The villa and gardens are spotless and very well maintained. This was my first time staying in a Villa and was so enjoyable and peaceful we are already planning our next trip to Villa Alfarroba :)

This villa will live up to all your expectations and then some. We have been coming to this part of Portugal for many years and I can honestly say that this Villa is by the the best we have stayed in. All home comforts are catered for and spotlessly clean. Lots of places to visit from here catering for every taste, games room , cinema room and lovely pool if staying in. I would most certainly recommend Villa Alfarobba to my family and friends so if a little undecided whether you should book -just do It you won’t be disappointed.

7 of us stayed for a week in this lovely villa. We made use of all the facilities from the perfectly heated pool to the home cinema, air conditioning and 2 dishwashers! Whilst we were there the temperature was extremely hot and we found the air conditioning essential, enough shade outside, aswell as enough sun beds for all of us. It was great to eat outside for just about every meal. The local area was quiet and beautiful beaches a short drive away. We had a wonderful holiday!
Fabulous place for a family holiday

This was the perfect place for our family summer holiday including 4 children 6 and under! Beautifully clean throughout, huge bedrooms, with fabulous en-suites and lots of areas for the children to play inside and out. They loved the cinema room and we watched a few children's movies from the huge selection available. The real highlights for us, was the lovely pool, outdoor eating area and BBQ big enough for our large party and more. The facility of draught Super Bock and the Sangria (which really was very good), which was great fun and well utilised. Jo & Paul are fab hosts, unobtrusive but available if you need them, with great communication, which for me is so important. Only slight down side is the poor WIFI speeds, which I understand also irritates Jo too!! But we had good data (and now you can use your UK data allowance was fine). We visited plenty of places, and we thought Tavira was fantastic with lots of atmosphere at night time. Great Taxis and places to eat. Use their information book - its very helpful. Highly recommended.

We are a group of lady golfers and have been going to the Algarve for 15 years.We don't normally go back to the same villa twice but this was our second visit and it didn't disappoint. It was as we remembered with the addition of a few extras like air con.This really is what it says a luxury villa in the sun don't take my word for it try it! Off all the villas we have been to I can honestly say this is the best and I'll definitely be returning.

Our whole experience in dealing with this property from the very start has been very professional and efficient and gave us complete confidence. The owners live close to the site and our on hand if in the unlikely event you need them. They can also tell you where all the good food, beaches, places to visit etc. We had a birthday there and Jo prepared a fantastic surprise meal which was wonderful. The villa was just as described and in excellent condition and well maintained. Great size pool for the 7 of us. Car hire essential. A beautiful part of the eastern Algarve with lovely views of the sea from the upstairs veranda . A great choice!

We have just returned from a brilliant week at Villa Alfarroba. The villa was immaculate, and all the bedrooms were really good sizes. The super king beds will be missed!! The beer pump was a really handy addition, especially on the hottest days. Jo and Paul were really helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they helped us out with a taxi booking and some good restaurant recommendations. If you stay we would recommend O Castello in Tavira, booking is essential but the number is in the handy welcome book provided. The steak was amazing! The taxi firm Norberto was also really good we used them a few evenings. All in all we had a fantastic time, such a lovely villa and pool. We would highly recommend. Thank you Jo and Paul for everything, hopefully we will see you again!
A LUXURIOUS OASIS

We stayed at the fabulous Villa Alfarobba for a week to celebrate my birthday with my family. The villa was an easy drive from Faro airport. Thankfully we had pre-arranged a meal for our arrival and as we didn't reach the villa until gone 9pm what a welcome sight greeted us. Jo and Paul were there to welcome us with a beautiful array of bread meats and cheeses and a wonderful main course of peppered chicken with veg and a lovely salad. They showed us around the Villa then left us to enjoy the delicious meal at the beautifully set table outside. We were in awe of the gorgeous surrounding from day one , the villa was spotless and so well equipped. The bed rooms are all spacious with lovely walk-in showers. The pool was fabulous, clean and the water was a delightful temperature, certainly didn't need any extra heating. Definatley recommend the Sangria on tap, one of the best I have tasted, perfect after a hard day round the pool We did a day trip to Seville which was only an hour and a half away . We would have liked to have done some trips but to be honest the Villa was so lovely and the pool so inviting we were loathe to leave it for too long. Maybe next time we visit we will explore a bit more of The Algarve. My daughter had liaised with Jo prior to our visit to organise a wonderful restaurant overlooking the sea, this was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday. Nothing is too much trouble for Jo and Paul they are a lovely couple, felt like I had known them ages. Will definitely be visiting again Thanks so much Lesley,Geoff Lindsay and family xx

On arrival we were blown away with the villa and its setting, you view the pictures on the website but nothing prepares you for seeing it for the first time, it is simply stunning. We had ordered a welcome meal which was gorgeous and well recommended to save time and stress when you arrive. The villa was immaculate, clean and very spacious. There was 5 adults in our party, plenty of room for more. The outside is very secluded and private with beautiful grounds and a good view from the balcony. We didn't have the best of weather while we were there but we made the most of the sun when we got it and spent time around the pool and the villa. We had the pool heated which we highly recommend, it was lovely and warm to get into first thing in a morning for a swim. We ate out in numerous places as well as BBQs around the villa, our favorite place to eat was Sabinos Restaurante in Villa Nova, a 5min drive away. The steak on a stone was to die for and we went twice, if you love your beef and steak it is not to be missed. Another great place to eat was Mars Bar, very relaxed, great food and they speak English and if you dont want to miss the football thats the place to be, even if you only want a drink or two! There is a great butchers in Manta Rota where you can get all your meat for BBQs and a good little supermarket across the road if you dont want to go to the main hypermarket. One of our favorite towns to visit was Santo Antonio which is a Marina full of yachts and boats a good place for seafood and lovely shops and cafes for lunch. The safari was great fun and a full packed day from being picked up early to being dropped of at night, the meal was delicious and the people were fantastic, it was very well organised. We visited Albufeira twice and although it is a bit of a drive we had a fantastic day at Zoo Marine. We were five adults that enjoyed it so if you have young ones its a must. The second time we went to Cliff Richards vineyard which is called Adegade de Cantor, very interesting but we did need Jo's help with booking it! Jo and Paul were fantastic throughout our stay and we highly recommend Villa Alfarroba to young and old. We cant wait to return next year.

A stunning, incredibly well equipped villa set in a beautiful and tranquil location. We had a fantastic week and were blown away by the quality, size, spec and facilities at the villa. it is very well situated if you like peace and quiet, with lovely views from the roof terrace. There were 10 of us staying there - including 5 teenagers, and there was plenty of room for us all to spread out and relax. The kids loved the cinema room and choice of DVDs, and the Wii and played in the pool non stop. The outdoor BBQ was a big hit and we ate outside by the pool every day. Jo and Paul were on hand if we had any queries and couldn't have been more helpful. Would highly recommend this property.
Amazing Holiday Villa

If you are searching for that perfect holiday villa, look no further! With more amenities than your own home it really has all been taken care of by the owners of Villa Alfarouba. We enjoyed our stay here so much, it goes down as one of our truly relaxing holidays. With a supermarket only a five minute drive away, an enviable outdoor bbq and seating area and a decent size pool there seemed very few reasons to leave the villa at all!! This said both Mars Bar and Cha Com Agua Salguda are worth a visit for some fantastic food or the Isle of Tavira for a pituresque boat ride and beach for the day. For those needing more entertainment there are games/DVD's a plenty in the basement games/cinema room, a Wii and a table tennis table to keep the most fidgety of people amused. Moreover the villa is luxury and comfort combined, beds are a decent mixture of firm to soft catering for all tastes, the garden/pool area is blissfully quiet and the kitchen a budding Nigella's dream (2 warming drawers!!!). Jo and Paul's input in addressing all the small details before you have arrived is testament to the fact they are naturals at running holiday rental homes and further adds to the reason that we will most certainly be back. All has been said previously, about this villa, all I can say is that the family had a GREAT HOLIDAY with a GREAT VILLA, GREAT POOL and GREAT WEATHER. The cinema room was a Godsend for the grandchildren as the weather was so hot and Jo and Paul's DVD library would put Blockbuster to shame. The pool was the highlight of the holiday for us all as I find villa pools too cold normally to enjoy but I was in 3 times a day on holiday. Our son-in-law, who likes to cook, thouroughly enjoyed the fabulous kitchen and barbeque. A great holiday was had by all. Jo and Paul have raised the standard in holiday villa accommodtion. Thank you both.
Our Second Amazing Stay At Villa Alfarroba .

This was our second stay at Villa Alfarroba , our previous stay being in September 2011. There is nothing we can add about the villa that hasn't been said before, but it is the best villa we have stayed in. We were 4 adults and 2 children , aged 5 and nearly 3 years old. The villa is not showing any signs of wear and tear and is beautifully maintained. It is truly a home from home.This is a testament to the owners, who we now regard as family friends. The villa has a beautiful pool and a garden which has now matured since we last visited. All our evenings were spent outside by the beer barrel and barbecue when we were not at restaurants. We also had Paul and Jo over for a traditional Indian meal and thoroughly enjoyed their company. This is what sets our stay here apart from other villas we have rented. Paul and Jo checked on us regularly while we were there without being intrusive. They offered us lots of advice as to where to eat and and they organised a surprise party for my father-in-law, with traditional Portuguese food and customised banner. The food was served and dishes done before the staff and Paul and Jo departed. We had enough food for 6 for 2 days which we duly demolished. We recommend you let Jo and Paul cook a meal at the villa for you. It is something we will remember for a long time to come. The level of care and service Jo and Paul provide is second to none. From the day we booked our second visit until the morning we departed, all queries were answered promptly. We will be back again to this villa , if only to enjoy the views to the sea from the huge terrace. One must do visit is Ilha de Tavira , where you can catch a boat to a little island . Best holiday in a long time

Villa Alfarroba – that was the greatest place we had visited and the best holiday and rest we ever had. The location is very nice and peaceful. The weather though April was perfect. There is a lot of stuff you can do not only in the house but within close distance of the place where the villa is situated. The best places for us was the garden swing, swimming pool and the barbeque area. We had a lot of fun in the pool which had a massage pump. The barbeque was perfect to prepare lovely dishes and my sister enjoyed using it (since she is a cook). I loved resting on the swing and taking advantage of the warm but still not that hot yet sunny weather. My husband on the other hand was very impressed by the home cinema which we enjoyed a couple of times. There were a lot of games to take advantage of but we couldn’t as the time past so fast. Best of all were the owners. They provided even stuff we didn’t asked for. Since they knew we were going with our toddler son, they not only provided all the necessities (such as cot and feeding chair) but they had a baby monitor and toys to keep him entertained. They have even done some basic shopping to keep us going till the next day. It wasn’t only our son who loved their (especially Joan as she is natural with kids) company. We had them over dinner few times and enjoyed their company, as they were full of interesting stories and with a lot of sense of humour. They were also very helpful pointing us to the best places we could have been interested in visiting. In summary that was our best holiday where we even managed to get a proper rest and sun tan. We have no reservations recommending the place not only because its in a great location, its very modern, well equipped and clean but also because of its superb hosts.
A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY

There were four of us for our first visit to the Eastern Algarve and whilst we have stayed at many lovely villas over the years, Villa Afarroba is certainly the finest. Built only three years ago to a very high standard, it is beautifully maintained and offers everything you could possibly need and a lot more besides for all age groups. We are at the high end of the age scale so our requirements revolve around comfort and tranquillity all of which was provided entirely. Also important to us was the wonderful heated pool set in a lovely garden with many fruit trees including orange, avocado pear and olive. There is even wine and beer on tap!! Just a few minutes away are magnificent sandy beaches and numerous cafes where we sat with a coffee or glass of wine to watch the world go by. There are many restaurants and we particularly enjoyed the family-owned A Proa restaurant at Manta Rota and the more upmarket Pezinhos N'areia at Praia Verde, both of which serve excellent fish and other seafood. Last but by no means least there was Jo and Paul who looked after us so well, unobtrusively but always there if you needed them for information or advice. They made our holiday complete by preparing a lovely three-course meal and joining us on our last evening. A very big thank you to them both. Brian, Valerie, Joyce and Beatrice.

Our second stay lived up to our memories of last year. Everything and more is provided at this gorgeous villa. Jo and Paul the owners are amazing. We spent quite a lot of time with them and invited they over for a meal one evening and hopefully they enjoyed it as much as we did. The villa caters for all ages, with a great games room and separate cinema room, but with fantastic weather we really only lived outside. The pool is probably the most used part of the villa for us, the water is lovely and warm and there are seats and a table to sit and have a drink at whilst soaking up the sun in the pool. Jo and Paul recommended lots of places to eat that we would never have known about and they all lived up to our expectations. Our favourites are Sabinas, where we had steak on a stone, amazing and A Proa but they were all good. We are already looking to come back for a 3rd time next year, thanks again Jo and Paul xx

Wow! We have not stopped talking about is villa since our return to rainy England. It was truly fabulous, out stripping our expectations and delighting the whole family! When we first looked round the children shouted their joy in every single room; The kitchen - with remote control mood lighting, two ovens, two dishwashers and an induction hob was heaven to cook in, soft close drawers too! High ceilings add to the airy feel in this large villa, alongside wide stairways and big bathrooms with super fast hot showers - each one had two heads. The beds were so comfy my middle son was quite disgusted with his own bed on our return home. The decor was bright and clean - still new looking! The cinema room with three sofas was stacked with dvd's, blu rays, music and family games - it was fantastic, and one of the best quality projection images I have seen to date. Cool little gadgets around the house didn't all get fully explored, but we did swim in the swim jet, laze in the beautiful warm pool and lounge on the loungers. Children spent hours on ping pong, the wii and the tennis swing ball. A large glass of crisp, cold, lightly sparkling wine from the 'on tap' duo in the garden added to the indulgent heaven that we felt for every minute spent in the villa. We have stayed in castles, 5 star hotels, tents and yachts, but this is the first time we have ever wanted to rebook our holiday immediately! The nearby beaches vary from large expanses of sand and shells to boat strewn lagoons. Golf seemed to be everywhere and the mountains were stunning, dozens of mountain bikes heading north. If you like day trips can get to all of South Portugal, even to the bottom of the West coast for some surf, and as far as Seville in Spain. I have to admit that we ended up spending very little money as all of us wanted to be in the villa all the time, even as we were nearing the end of our stay my children could be heard walking around whispering to themselves 'I love this villa', my face ached - and I think it was because I smiled so much! Paul and Jo are an amazing couple! I wish I had spent longer with them! Nothing is too much trouble and they both have an exceptional capacity to make you feel at home and welcome. I have never met someone that demonstrated Jo's capacity to remember everything you tell her - she doesn't glaze over or reveal she has met a thousand people before you, but engages genuinely and with warmth. Book soon, before my friends and family beat you to it!
Astonishing Villa in the Algarve

Staying at Jo and Paul's supurb villa is always a pleasure. We have stayed there 3 times now and it just keeps getting better and better. Little additions appear each time we arrive, finding them is like a little game! The Villa is always so clean and fresh looking, quite amazing. I find myself cleaning the Kitchen sub-consciously!! The Cinema room in the basement, a nice cool get-away when it's just too hot. So many DVD's to choose from too! So many lovely touches it's hard to list them all. Our flight time was a little late, so we asked Jo if she would mind cooking for us, as we would be tired. Jo laid on this mini banquet it was so good we're still talking about it now, what an amazing cook!! Our stay being in December, we didn't expect much in terms of weather, but it was lovely, "T"shirts and shorts as normal. Coming back to the villa throwing our clothes off and jumping into the heated pool was just lovely, watching the beautiful sunset whilst sipping Gin and Tonic was breath taking!! Our favourite places to eat are Mar's Bar in Manta Rota, Avi and Johnny made us feel so welcome, we felt like family. Ribs are my favourite with their secret salad dressing, yummy. Evenings, we liked Aproa just down the road from Mar's Bar, just lovely. Then there's O'Ligeiro, just a liitle way up the N125 opp the tyre shop, the best Piri Piri Chicken in the world! We have just spent a wonderful week at Jo and Paul's villa in the eastern Algarve. The villa is certainly a very special place to stay and Jo and Paul are both wonderfully friendly and welcoming hosts. We visited as a family of 5 with three young boys aged 9,5 and 3 - this was their first trip abroad! We arrived at the villa late afternoon (Jo had sent us clear directions from Faro airport so this short drive was fine) and we had asked Jo to cook us a meal. We had such a delicious lasagne and lemon cheesecake that we asked her to cook it for us again mid week! She is a fabulous cook and knowing that this meal was waiting for us was great. Jo also got us some bread, milk, eggs, ham, cheese, juice, crisps and water for our arrival which meant we didn't have to think about shopping until the following day. We visited Manta Rota and the beach several times, Vila Real San Antonio ( the most eastern town and here you can catch the boat across to Spain), the Isle of Tavira and the children's favourite Zoomarine where the dolphin show was brilliant. There is so much more we could of done but sadly ran out of time. There were plenty of places to pick up some groceries without going to far and we ate out at a couple of local restaurants - the burgers at Mars bar were amazing!!! The weather was beautiful, very warm and the area was lovely and peaceful which is what we wanted. Jo and Paul have created a truly relaxing and beautiful villa which is very luxurious. The swimming pool was such a treat and we went in at least twice a day, the extra heating was well worth the money in April. One of our boys gained so much confidence in the water in just a few days. The cinema room was also used daily when the boys needed some time out of the sunshine....and when we wanted some time to relax with a book on a sun bed! Such a wide range of DVDs to pick from. Our highlight of each day has to be the wine and beer on tap and a glorious balcony to be able to admire the view whilst having a drink. We watched the sun set every night! An absolutely fabulous holiday and we all cannot wait to go back! Jo and Paul were there if we needed them (even when we couldn't get our hire car to start!) and they are extremely welcoming people. You can't go wrong here! We hope everyone who visits loves it as much as we did.....we will be back!!! Thank you again Jo and Paul xx
Stunning, contemporary and luxurious villa holiday

Without doubt the most comfortable, relaxing, well presented and well thought out villa holiday we have ever had! The accommodation was actually better in reality than the pictures (didn't think that ever happened?!). The whole (very large!) villa and gardens are beautifully decorated, finished and easy to 'live in'. Whenever I thought 'oh I could just do with....' I could be sure the owners would have already thought of 'it' and 'it' would be in a cupboard somewhere. What made the holiday so special were the owners Jo and Paul, who live right next door and were always on hand for any little thing we needed (and travelling as a single woman with three young children this was a massive reassurance, without being at all intrusive). Although we didn't venture far from the villa, which was our plan, what we did see of the local area and local people, was a gentle and beautiful corner of the Algarve which we fully intend to return to and explore more of...staying of course at the wonderful Villa Alfarroba!

It is a wonderful villa and I would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere special. We had the beer and the wine on tap and it was such a luxury! My wife and I had the top front room with the massive veranda and we really enjoyed coffee al fresco in the mornings and that was in October! The owners, Paul and Jo, were very helpful and gave many good restaurant tips! Paul connected the heat pump to supplement the pool heating when we were there and the pool was like a bath - we knew the pool was heated but this was way above our expectations. We are back again for a quick week in December to avoid the Christmas mayhem, can't resist it !
Amazing stay in this fabulous Villa

When can we come back? My husband and I and 2 close friends booked a week's stay in October 2013 and had an absolutely wonderful holiday. From the moment we were shown into the Villa we knew without a doubt our stay was going to be special. The Villa is huge, comfortable, light & airy and immaculately clean. The fabulous kitchen has everything you could possibly need including 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers and every utensil/gadget imaginable. The en-suite bedrooms are very large with ample wardrobe/drawer space and lovely modern wet rooms. The rest of the villa was spacious and well equipped with TV, Wii, radio/cd/ipod dock The garden is beautiful and well laid out with a variety of palm tree, shrubs, orange and lime trees and many herbs (we used them in our cooking). There are more than enough seats, sun beds to chill out on and a couple of bistro table & chair sets in other parts of the garden. The pool was like a warm bath and we loved the in-pool seating with it's own table. The extremely powerful swim jet was lots of fun. A few rainy days meant we only managed to use the BBQ once but it was wonderful, along with beer on tap, what more could you need? We used the fabulous cinema room which had an array of movies for all tastes, not to mention music CD's, books & board games - every detail has been thought of. Only having a week, we didn't venture out and about much apart from visiting the nearby town of Tavira during one of the days which was lovely and 2 evenings out at gorgeous restaurants, A'Proa and Panaramico, recommended by Jo and Paul, the owners . The rest of the time, we prepared our own meals having bought everything we needed from the local hypermarket "Continente", a very short drive away. Jo and Paul are very friendly and welcoming and always close by for their guests, with help, advice about the villa, and recommendations of where to visit and eat out. We so look forward to our next visit and to experiencing Portuguese hospitality again.

it was well arranged by jo and paul the pool was 29 degrees the two extra beds for children were ready and the house is incredible you dont have to bring anything but youre clothe towels/beachtowels everything is there we had a great time in a great house from great people thanks for everything from arjen v d werf from holland

What can I say! Beautiful villa, lovely pool, lovely area. The villa has everything you could ask for and Jo and Paul always on hand to help with anything. There were 8 of us staying including 2 kids and there was plenty of room. The kids (and husband) loved the cinema room and it was great for cooling down. We have stayed in a lot of villas over the years and this one is by far the best! Would love to come back again one day!

We spent a fun week at Villa Alfarroba with the family; my husband and I, our 15 year old son, and 2 grown up children and their spouses. There was more than enough room for all of us. As described, the property is clean, luxurious, spacious and contemporary. The pool, cinema room and table tennis table were brilliant, keeping all members of the family entertained without leaving the villa, whilst we enjoyed the peace and beautiful views of the upstairs terrace with our morning coffee. The villa is situated in Santa Rita, which is a lovely little hamlet and within an easy drive of Tavira, which is well worth a visit. We opted for a prepared meal on the day we arrived and the provisions pack. It was a treat not to have to rush out to the shops immediately and the meal - lasagne and cheesecake - was delicious. Jo and Paul were extremely friendly and helpful and it was good to know they were close at hand in the event of any problems. We would certainly return here without hesitation and would recommend this villa to friends and family.

This is our second time staying here and we can't think of anywhere else that we would rather be. My Husband is very reluctant to travel abroad but after finding this Gem i can say we will be having a holiday a lot here. Nothing is to much trouble for Jo and Paul they have missed nothing and are excellent hosts. We have stayed here with 3 different groups age ranging from 6 years to 75 years and they will all be back in sure.
The villa surpassed our expectations

The villa had everything and more we had expected. The fixtures and fittings were of an unusually higher quality to which we expected and made our holiday go from good to a great break. Jo and Paul couldn't do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. This would be our first option if we come back to portugal. Our kids loved the pool!

We arrived at about 4-30 to be met by Jo and Paul, we were given a grand tour and found the villa better than the photos. We were a party of 10 ranging from aged 2 to 62, although the pool is deep we had no problems as we watched the kids like hawks, as you should. They all really enjoyed their stay and didn`t want to come home. A big thank you to Jo and Paul for arranging my grandsons birthday bash and cake at Mars Bar, this was fantastic. We all felt that we could totally relax and enjoy our stay in this lovely villa and make full use of the bbq and beer tap, well worth having. Jo arranged a jeep safari with Flamingo Tours, very interesting and relaxing, well worth doing. This villa is by far the quietist that I have stayed in and sleep quality was second to none. All in all we had a fantastic time and it was a pity the week went so quick, once again thank you very much Jo and Paul for helping us to have a good time.
Beer drinking record breakers

We arrived at the villa where Jo and Paul gave us a warm welcome, they took the time to show us round the villa, and I must say the pictures don't do it justice the villa is amazing. during our stay Jo organised our kegs of beer and a massage for the girls nothing was ever to much trouble. Swimming in the pool every day was heaven we chose the heated option and it was well worth it as you could take an evening dip. Shops near by, beach near by, but recommend that you hire a car. as there are plenty of places to visit near by. Thank you Jo and Paul we will definitely be returning to break our beer drinking record. love Chris and Sue and Family

The villa is very spacious and amazing the pictures dont do this villa justice.the facilities were fantastic we couldnt of asked for a better holiday. The heated pool and cinema room kept the children very happy. Plenty of nearby attractions,shops and restaurants. Owners jo and paul were lovely they even helped arrange a suprise birthday meal our holiday was fantastic .we cant wait for our next holiday at the villa we have recommended the villa to friends and family its out of this world.

The Villa is both luxurious and homely with numerous nice touches. The facilities and setting are second to none, there are plenty of excellent restaurants, huge clean sandy beaches with interesting towns and quaint villages nearby. As a family of 7 ranging in age from 5 to 60 we all had a superb time. Jo & Paul make you feel so welcome and are on hand with useful tips and suggestions, you can tell they have spent so much time and effort in getting Villa Alfarroba perfect. Portuguese Paradise

This was our second holiday at Villa Alforoba in as many years and just like the first our family of 10 had a fantastic holiday. The villa is superb with all the amenities you could ever need including a cinema room in the basement. Needless to say the children closely followed by the adults enjoyed happy hours in the pool. The location is perfect for beaches, with Fabrica being our favourite (only 5mins by car) closely followed by Manta Rota the nearest town (only 10 mins by car). Jo and Paul are excellent hosts and will accommodate all your needs, Jo cooking is exceptional, especially the lemon cheesecake, jo catered for us on two evenings and she did a fantastic job. The local area is beautiful, with white sand beaches, lovely countryside and two local towns worth a visit, San Antonio and Tavira. There are a host of good restaurants to visit locally with very good food on offer. This is a brilliant all round villa holiday and we shall be back for a third visit, this is a testament to how good Villa Alforoba is.

Fantastic villa, kept to very high standard. Outdoor area is very large and where we spent most of our time. Having a heated pool was a bonus as even the cold-phobics went in! BBQ area was the best i've seen and a beer tap was an added bonus. We rent villas in Portugal every year and this was the best we've been to. Jo & Paul were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They were on hand if we needed but wern't intrusive. Jo cooked for us on three occasions which was a life saver for those who like eating out but have kids who need an occasional night in and want to have a night without a designated driver! We also played golf with Jo and Paul which was very nice of them - thanks alot. Inside the villa is immaculate. Rooms are great, bathrooms even better. Kitchen has 2 of everything - yes really (ovens, dishwashers, warming draws, washing machines!). Table tennis downstairs and also cinema room which kids enjoyed to get break from sun. Villa has underfloor cooling and they are about to install new aircon units which will be a big plus for the hotter summer months when you need that extra boost. All in all a fantastic holiday. In a party of 8 golfers we found the property to be excellent. Very close to about 4 golf courses and not far from another 3. Jo and Paul looker after us very well and made sure we had a great time. They even provided evening meals for us on 3 occasions and organised taxis to the local restaurants which were all very good. I would have no hesitation in recommending this villa to families or parties of golfers. It really was very good. The pool area was excellent and again well maintained. The kitchen was very well equipped, had 2 dishwashers, 2 washing machines large fridge and separate freezer. We had an excellent time there.

Clean, bright,comfortable accommodation found at Villa Alfaroba. Kitchen facilities are outstanding. Little if anything needed for meal preparation is missing. Hosts, Jo and Paul Tarling are friendly and informative. One can not go wrong following their advice. They always responded immediately to any question or concern. I have no qualms about recommending this property to anyone traveling to southern Portugal.
Fantastic villa

This is an amazing villa ! We stayed for the month of April and enjoyed every moment. The villa itself is large, well equipped, and comfortable. The kitchen is great, with every amenity imaginable. The pool, which we opted to heat, was a perfect place to relax after a round of golf or on a warm day. We found lots to do in the area. We golfed, went on a jeep safari/boat cruise, picked clams and watched fiddler crabs on the Ria Formosa, took a day trip to Seville, enjoyed great meals at local restaurants, a Fado night. The villa owners, Jo and Paul, added a wonderful dimension to our Portugal experience. They met us at the airport, ensured we got settled in, answered all of our questions, gave us great ideas of places to go and things to do, plus made many of the arrangements for us. They were fun, too! This is probably one of the best vacation rentals we have used.

My first stay in the eastern Algarve after numerous visits to Vilamoura, Portimao. Normally stay in hotels but was lucky enough to spend a week at this villa with good friends. I have no negative comments to make about the villa. It is a beautiful villa, in a quiet area. All of the bedrooms are extremely well appointed. Kitchen is stylish and well equipped. Lounge is light and very large. Didn't spend too much time in there though as weather was perfect and spent most of the time in the garden around and in the pool. Utilised the cinema room a couple of times and also the table tennis was a bonus. Luckily for us we were able to use the fruits of the garden. Avocado tree to make guacamole and limes and mint to make Mojitos. Unfortunately the Lemon and Orange trees weren't quite ready for eating. Villa is only a kilometre away for two golf courses. And 3km from the beach. Lots of good restaurants close by especially in Tavira which is a lovely picturesque town. Last but not least, a big you to thank Jo and Paul (owners) for their hospitality. Lovely meeting you and hopefully catch up again in the future.
Really worth a visit

Villa Alfarobba is a wonderful villa, that is spacious and well fitted out. It has great gardens, and a lovely pool. May I suggest, go for the heated option. Like a warm bath. Our visit coincided with fruit on the trees, a nice touch. The villa has many options, TV, cinema, games room, books, wifi, etc. Our hosts, Jo and Paul were wonderful, offering local advice, help with excursion bookings etc, advice on local restaurants. Well worth a visit.
A Perfect End to a Lovely Summer

We stayed for a wonderful week as a party of 10 with ages ranging between 22 and 79 and found the villa perfect for all our needs. We had a fantastic Lasagne on our arrival with turned out to be enough for 2 days !!!! This villa is equipped better than you could hope for...... 2 dishwashers and 2 ovens are a big plus. The kitchen cupboards were filled with all the little extras one would expect to have to buy when going self catering........things like olive oil, dishwasher tablets, food seasoning and many others that you would find at home. The pool was just lovely and we took full advantage including those that were wrinkly before they got in !!!! The offer of getting bags collected at the airport ( for a small charge ) enabled us to get a party of 10 into 2 cars without problems with bags. A super sized lounge with plenty of comfy chairs together with cold beer and sangra on tap made the evenings most relaxing. Only regret was we only were there for one week.

We have just returned from our second stay in the gorgeous Villa Alfarroba and cannot rate it highly enough. We were a party of seven - including a 6 year old and a 19 month old. We all had a fantastic time. The villa itself was as amazing as ever - spacious, spotlessly clean with all the things that make a home a home - except on holiday! Lovely spacious rooms and we loved the showers! The pool was great - so warm and we used it every afternoon. The children enjoyed the cinema room in the early evening - to cool off and wind down and there is such a super range of DVDs, CDs, books and games. We spent most evenings chilling out outside, sipping wine / beers and playing games! Jo and Paul are excellent villa hosts - they are extremely kind and helpful and always on hand if needed. Jo had got out lots of little 'extras' for our 19 month old - an amazing cot (so much better than travel cots of previous experiences in other places), a little stool, change mat, highchair and some books and toys - these were so gratefully received. We ate out everyday - and would highly recommend Mars Bar in Manta Rota, (ribs - amazing!) and also the restaurant in Cacela Velha. This is a gorgeous spot in the Algarve. Amazing villa and amazing owners

This was our 3rd visit to Villa Alfarroba and we will be returning again next year. It has everything and more that you need for the most relaxing holiday you can imagine. Jo and Paul (the owners) go the extra mile every time. This villa is suitable for everyone, from the very young to the more mature. I can recommend Jo`s cooking, she prepared us a lovely welcome meal which was much needed after our delayed flight. Well worth ordering in advance as we will do in the future. Transport is required to get about but in the evenings we use the local taxi service to various restaurants, too many to mention but all very good value. Cannot wait to return.

If you think this Villa cannot be as good as it looks in the pictures, you would be wrong! it is better... If you think Jo and Paul cannot be as good hosts as suggested in all of the reviews you would be wrong. I cannot stress how good the Villa Alfarroba is for all the family. We were a group of 7, myself, my Daughter 28 and grandson 5,My sister and brother in Law, and their 18 and 21 year daughters. We had the most friendly of welcomes on arrival from Jo and Paul, and were stunned by the Villa , it really is well thought out and beautifully designed.The pool, gardens and the villa itself were spotlessly clean, and clearly maintained to provide maximum impact . The Kitchen, well the Kitchen is stunning, both in colour (excellent colour choice) and fixtures, fittings and everything you could possible need to prepare a meal, or serve up barbecued delights We had planned several day trips but instead spent the week by the pool and made use of the barbecue, which as my brother in law, who is a seasoned BBQ Chef put it, is a stunner! When we did venture out it was down to the beach and to the fabulous Mars Bar (english breakfasts and amazing ribs , XL cocktails that need careful handling ,and an english speaking owner with a sense of humour) Jo and Paul were always available and helped us book meals etc and advised us on local shops and facilities.Little bits of extra attention that helped make the grandsons week and indeed ours. We will be , and already have , recommended Villa Alfarroba to friends and family Thanks Jo and Paul for letting us enjoy your amazing villla for a truly wonderful week

Fab baby friendly luxury villa

This isn't the first time I have stayed here.....however it is the first time I stayed here with an 8 week old baby.....and what can I say, it was perfect. Obviously a totally different holiday for us but it really didn't matter as the villa is so well equipped with every detail thought of.....there is a cot with really lovely bedlinen, a steriliser, a baby monitor and changing mats just to name a few things that make most parents worry about that all important 23kg luggage allowance. Here you don't even have to let it cross your mind. Furthermore the pool heating (which they have recently installed) allowed us to take the baby into the water without worrying that it would be too chilly. In fact the water temperature was astoundingly high. It's no wonder they have so many repeat customers and with the improvements they make anually all with their holidaymakers in mind make it a relaxing and luxury holiday that we will most certainly be doing again. 5 star + Villa

Villa Alfarobba was this years choice for our large family holiday, located in in the eastern Algarve. The first thing to state was that this villa exceeded all of our high expectations. Every element has been thought of by Jo and Paul, to maximise the enjoyment and comfort of stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and has an external area dedicated for barbecues including work top space for preparing barbecue foods. The cinema room in the basement was a great hit will all members of our family which ranged from 2 to 75. The garden was immaculate and we opted for the extra pool heating for the comfort of our two year old, which meant we could not get him out of the pool ! Paul and Jo were on hand if required to assist with recommendations for eating travelling and hiring cars, which was greatly appreciated. Shower wet rooms were also fantastic. One important feature of the villa were the electrically operated window and door shutters which provided thermal protection during the day. The villa is surrounded by farmland with just a scattering of other properties in this road. From the large balcony facing south you can spot the sea! The level of finish in this villa is very high and we would definitely return at a suitable time in the future. Thanks again Jo and Paul for accommodating us and making us feel welcome.
Wonderful luxurious villa!

We arrived at the villa late afternoon and were welcomed by Paul and Jo. Jo had very kindly got some shopping in for us - basics for that evening and enough for breakfast and lunch the following day. this was brilliant and meant we could go straight to the villa from the airport. Jo had also cooked us a wonderful three course meal - the lasagne and lemon cheesecake were delicious and we asked her to cook it again for us midweek too, Jo is a wonderful chef! The villa is beautiful, 5* luxury in quiet and peaceful surroundings with a stunning garden and wonderful pool! We got into a routine very quickly of heading out after a lazy breakfast by the pool to a beach and returning to the villa mid afternoon for a long swim and then our three young boys aged 9,5 and 3 would venture down to the cinema room to relax for a while. Meanwhile we were able to enjoy some peaceful sunshine with a good book around the pool - we haven't done this for years and found it both relaxing and a real treat. The cinema room was super! The villa is immaculate and Jo and Paul have thought of everything to make your stay feel special. We went out to a couple of nice restaurants recommended by Jo and Paul and as mentioned Jo kindly cooked for us at home too. There were plenty of places to eat in the local area and plenty of supermarkets too if you would rather cook in a wonderfully equipped kitchen - it sadly puts mine to shame at home! We visited the border with Spain, Manta Rota beach which is stunning, Zoomarine - expensive but boys loved the dolphin show and the Isle of Tavira which was a lovely day out....but make sure you get the right boat back!! One of the highlights of our day tho has to be once the children were in bed having a glass of chilled wine or beer straight from the taps in the garden!! What a treat!! We headed up to the grand balcony and watched the sunset of the Eastern Algarve - a perfect place to chat and have a drink with a wonderful view. We would certainly recommend this villa - it is a very special place and Jo and Paul are so welcoming and friendly (Paul was there to help when we couldn't start our hire car one morning!) - our boys are still talking about them both daily! As the destination for our first family holiday abroad we will all remember it fondly... Obrigado por umas ferias maravilhosas! Tivemos um tempo incrivel, e nos estaremos de Volta! A truly impressive luxury villa!

The moment you arrive on the drive of the villa, the wow factor of the property hits you. The attention to detail that has gone into the design of the villa is truly astounding. Suitable for anybody, from a young couple, a family with children to celebrities, this place has it all. I literally could not think of a single thing that the villa was missing. Myself and my partner travelled with our two children, both under the age of 18 months and didn't need to worry about bringing anything for either child, the villa had everything that we would need for them from a bottle sterilizer, highchair, cots to a walker! A truly superb and thoughtful offering for any young family. The swimming pool and barbecue had a lot of use and the opportunity to use a large cinema room with an endless list of dvds to choose from or the table tennis table in the basement provides another element of fun to your holiday. The wifi in the villa allowed me to watch the odd football match and kept the kids entertained when necessary. It was also great for helping to explore the local area when reviewing potential restaurants to eat in. The local shops are not too far away and have everything you can wish for. The same can be said for restaurants, pubs and takeaways. If you are a keen golfer, the incredible Monte Rei course is just around the corner and is worth seeing even if you don't play the course. I truly cannot recommend this villa enough and will definitely return in the future. The owners Jo & Paul are very pleasant and always willing to offer advice or help with anything that you may need. You'd be mad to choose another villa in the Algarve over this one!
